The Land and Sea Series

From colonial Queensland to the Pacific islands, there were opportunities to be seized. The twentieth century lay ahead, promising a future without limits. Queensland, the new Australian colony, was an adventure for the bold, with a flourishing sugar industry and vast resources in untouched forests. The Pacific islands, beset by Europeans bent on ruling or exploiting, provided fulfillment for colonial ambitions and indentured labour for Queensland.

All you needed was an eye for the main chance and a willingness to be ruthless—or to rely on the authorities to be ruthless on your behalf.

Born into the turbulent era marking the birth of Australia, Ashley Forsayth experiences corruption, injustice and deadly peril, the joy and pain of parenthood and the terrors of the Great War as it spreads to the Pacific. Loyalties are forged during triumph and adversity, threats arise unexpectedly, disparate characters are flung together in circumstances none could have foreseen.

The developing Land and Sea Series ranges across this region and through the troubled times that have befallen it. The series comprises three novels: A Flight of Dolphins and The Forgiving Spirit (available on Amazon) and the upcoming Child of the Land and Sea.
